need an engine swap helper

I'm really considering a SRT-4 swap... I'll need to yank my 2.0 and my automatic tranny... install a complete SRT-4 engine, UDP, SRT-4 transmission, and hook up a megasquirt...

anyone willing to travel to morehead to help me do it in a weekend blitz???!?!? i'd have plenty of alcohol

and some cash incentive, if everything goes well!

I dunno about anyone else but I have NEVER seen a automatic SRT4

and dude with MS and some tuning you will be fine.

The SRT's T-850 tranny won't fit in a 1st gen, not without a lot of cutting and fab work anyway. You would have to run either a built auto or a T-350.

I don't know much else about it except that you have to use either aftermarket engine management or swap the entire engine and body harnesses from the SRT. I also know a lot of people say the whole ordeal is easier if done with SRT internals in a regular 2.4 block.

I'm not about to swap internals too.. As this is my poor daily driver.

So,

SRT-4 Complete Engine - minus electricals (found one for $800)
SRT-4 Turbo/Manifold ($250)
DOHC Intake Manifold
Stock 1gn TB
SRT-4 Intercooler
1gn UDP

3.55 Tranny ($400)
Stage II Axles

Megasquirt - Fuel and Spark control
DOHC PCM for everything else

Intercooler piping
Silicon Couplers

Modified SRT-4 Fuel rail w/ SRT Injectors
High flow fuel pump

Missing link MAP Clamp

Battery relocation stuff

Lots of other misc. crap... i've did research before.. but i'm beginning to realize that this is going to be more than what I thought.... More expensive than what I thought

My current motor and tranny are beginning to show their age, with nearly 200,000 miles on them (but without any MAJOR problems)..A engine rebuild and a MTX swap would cost right around $1200. So it might be worth it to go turbo, for 1000 more.

I was thinking that I could get this whole swap done for right around $2,000... but all n all, I'd say its gonna end up being more.

I definetly need a mopar buddy to help me with all this. All of my friends down here are Import 'Tuners'... and I'd love to have you guys down here and represent the Neons.

Yes you mise well go SRT swap HEY MAN YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE AND IF YOUR GONNA DO IT MISE WELL DO IT RIGHT!!!Also MS is still being tested on the SRT but it should get cracked VERY SOON!! My buddy Matt is testing on 2 SRTs in the Columbus area..
