What i do to hold these boxes together is i run a small "tach weld" every couple of inches, then i run high strength pvc cement down each valley. This increases the holding strength and it also makes them liquid tight.

What kind of lid do you have to go on it, and how does it vent?

maybe a dumb quesiton, but why does everyone keep asking about the venting.???

Because NHRA rules state that a non-sealed battery must be vented to the outside of the vehicle, and it's a good practice anyway. Sealed batteries such as Optimas don't require a box or any venting, they just have to be securely mounted in the trunk.

NHRA rules also state that any vehicle with the battery relocated to the "trunk area" must have a battery kill switch mounted on the rear of the car.

I got the rods in electroplated so if any acid gets on them they wont corrode as quickly. and they're longer so that the hole system is bolted down through just two rods.
