My custom stock tinted tails

Post by KB9QDI »

Some have seen them but not all. I took the stock tails, seperated the lenes from the taillight housing with a heat gun and tinted them from the inside with flat black paint. After drying I went back and used mineral spirits on the lower section and removed the paint so they are still fuctional but keep the tinted apperence everywhere else. Once done with both I put them back together with the geat gun and this is how they turned out. I'm very happy with them and by doing this all from the inside they are still glossy and smooth on the outside 8)

Yeah those are really awesome. Those are the same lights as last time I saw it right? If so the pics don't even do them justice. Awesome technique.

I think they look hot! Definitely hot on a black car like yours!

Sorry to post hijack, but I've never seen another ham on a neon forum, just thought I'd say hello. Nice job on the lights too.
