does anybody know ? what kind of boost and horsepower a person can get out of stock 2.4L rods from dodge engine. i have a 2.4L dohc im thinking about doing a build up on. origenaly natural aspirated. i think im going to do turbo w/ forged pistons and extreme port and polish job w/ indy intake and throtle body and crane cam approx:275 to 300h.p. at flywheel . any help would be greatly appreciated :?:

No neon for garage, is a 1999 dohc like a 1995 sohc if girl drives? Or is 1998 if man drives to track r/t?

im thinking of building a 2.4L for my neon .but wanted to know. if i was better of doing a head switch on my 2.0 and building it . im not sure how durable the rods of the 2.0 and 2.4 are ? also the other question was about air pollution solenoid totally different subject!

Do you plan on building the engine, or just getting one and putting it in? I would say if you plan on having the motor out at all the the 2.4 would be the logical choice.

i have a 2.4L on the side and wanting to build a forced induction motor do you think 275 to 300 hp at the flywheel is feezable? the car is a 2 door w/ mtx

300hp is definitely feasable with a 2.4. Use a Stratus Caravan or PT block with SRT-4 rods and pistons.

thanks. im wanting to use garret t28 ball bearing turbo. is this to much turbo for what im wanting. im still wanting a good dependable daily driver if i have to. and the reason for the t28 is my buddy has a new one in the box for $275.00.

Turbo and "good dependable daily driver" don't really go together well. I would highly suggest buying a beater to get you around during the install and until you have it tuned and reliability has been proven.

I don't know enough about turbo systems to know what a good turbo to use would be off the top of my head.
