I Wish This Was My SRT-4

Post by 71Roadrunner »

Here's a dyno video of a 772 WHP SRT-4. I've never seen a 160 MPH speedo's needle sweep that fast across the gauge ever, if you blink between 80 MPH and 150 MPH you will miss it!

Damn.

I would never sink that much money into a FWD car though.

I've driven cars that fast and powerful, but they were never FWD they were only RWD. I couldn't imagine having to fight that steering wheel on launch, a mildly modded SRT-4 is hands full enough around 15-16 psi and that thing is almost 30 psi and triple the power.

who are these "ams" people and where's their shop?I can't ever find a good shop around here that has any expeirience with sport compacts short of frikkin civics! And when you tel em your working on a neon they always say "why?".Like it's offensive to them! Why would someone take a 75year old chassy and mate it to a 45 year old body, chop it up ,slam it to the ground and slap a 500hp big block into it only to trailer it from show to show and never drive it?Not to mention open top or no top cars from even ten or 15 years ago with no airbags, no crumple zones, no abs and a frame that folds like an accordian when hit.Sorry it's just frustraiting, maybe I should just say f>ck it and get a fox body mustang!

Theres a new shop here in the Nati called tkperformance and they are out by Cincinnati Mills and we have talked to the shop owner and he is into tuning sport compact cars (not just civics). I dont have their phone number on me right now but if youre interested let me know.

It's TD Performance www.tdperf.com and the Shop Manager is Forey Hagerty. TD=Tire Discounters Chip Wood is the owner 8)

Forey is really good with German cars and turbo setup's. He races his Cup Porsche in SCCA.

I'm a Manager at the Lawrenceburg TD.
