Buying Kyokugen lug nuts, which color?

Post by Vinny »

What do you think, black or silver? I would prefer silver, but I don't know if they will be too close to the color of my wheels and clash. Black would probabaly look good on my black car, but I know they will begin looking marred-up faster from being tightened/removed than silver ones.

Yeah maybe I'm putting too much JDM-esque shit on my car, but these things are light, and the seven sided nuts are pretty slick IMO from a security standpoint.

Thanks for your opinion! (can you tell I work in market research? lol)

I'd go black on your wheels... but you've got a point... if you drop a log I wonder if the black would chip or flake off easily. If they're anodized they're start to fade.

I think the black and silver ones are anodized. They offer them in polished, but the place I found them cheap doesn't carry them. this place has them $10-20 cheaper than i have seen anywhere else.

Hmm....

well there is one thing you dont have to worry much about. If you scratch up a black one.. go to wal mart and buy a 97 cent can of gloss black spray paint. Scratch then spray and repeat. Not hard, not expensive and the best part: no one will notice

I ended up ordering the silver ones. the black ones would have looked better yeah, but I'm going for function not looks, and in looks I go for long-term. Looks aside black is a pretty dumb color for a lugnut, would make it hard to find if say you had to change a tire at night.

I'm not too worried about it, they're only $40 lug nuts. It's not like they are Ray's lugnuts which are like $110+/set!
