ran the turbo ACR

Post by Vinny »

Took the ACR to Tri-State Dragway yesterday and am please with the results. :)

Best time of the day was a 14.095 @ 99.4 mph with a crap 2.2 60', I got a 2.0 short time on another run, so I'm sure with a little more practice I could have gotten it in the 13s as it is.

This was full interior, on my 16" Rotas/Kumho 712s at 25psi f/30psi r, and I wasn't rockin' a bag of ice on my intake or anything.

to do list:
- install my 36lb Accell injectors
- heat wrap IC piping
- install my Hallman Pro MBC ($20!)
- get it tuned better
- turn up boost :)

With all that I should be well into the 13s and trapping over 100.

Congrats dude! 8)

Adding more/better fuel, reducing heat and adding some boost you'll be well into the 13's.

Keep us posted 8)

It doesn't need more fuel, it needs less lol. My AFRs were in the 10.0 range all the way down the track. With the smaller 36lb injectors I have coming I can run a more reasonable base pressure which should help get all my AFRs in line (idle, steady part-throttle cruising, WOT, etc.).

Next time I will be going to the track at around 9 psi, I'm hoping for 13.50s with street tires and full interior once I get used to it. Drag radials or small slicks may be in my future, and next year I'd kinda like to run stick shift drags with it.

Nice job! Let me know if you want some company next time you run. I've been wanting to run at tri state, but never been. How do you compare tri state vs edgewater?

Tri-State isn't as nice as Edgewater, but it's not a bad track. I prefer Tri-State for test-and-tune, I could have gotten 10 runs in easy this past Saturday. I'll let you know when I'm going out there next.
