accelerating problems

When I shift in to 3rd gear the car doesnt want to accelerate it does it in 3rd 4th and 5th gear.

Mines doing that too it did it very little a long time ago and come to find out its my catalytic converter... check your plugs and plug wires too!

Well the problems with neons go on and on but so far its mostly these:

Cats get clogged
wire ends fall out
plugs get dirty
engine leaks oil from everywhere

And by the way welcome to the posts and the good the bad and the problems...

i just got my neon sunday and it has that problem, the sun roof wont open, and a little bit of body damage

How much did you spend, and is it a SOHC or DOHC?

Its SOHC i got it for $1800 its red
