0-100 run

Post by Skill » Tue Jan 02, 2007 6:05 am

I started video late around 10 MPH into first gear, but that's as good as you get since i'm holding the camera and shifting hard ... which is tough as hell BTW!

At time of run this was my mod list ...
Crane cams #16's
Indy CNC p/p head
Indy stainless steel valves
Crane titanium valve springs and titanium retainers
Extrude honed intake manifold
Kirk long-tube race header
Iceman CAI
Borla muffler
MPX 60mm throttle body
AFX ecu
MSD coil and wires
Unorthodox racing pulley
Booger Bushings
Prothane Motor Mount Inserts
A/C Removed

Since that movie i had installed an SAFC2 and Adjustable cam gears ... waiting to get the car tuned and will be running it again for ya gise just hopefully will be on a 1.4th mile track this time ;)

EDIT* i just remembered i posted this link in my introduction thread so most of you prob. seen it already so below is another video i made ..

Video Description wrote:Nothing fancy, I took this video for other people who want a reference as to how a cammed neon sounds (#16's) and how the borla exhaust sounds on a neon. Video was taking under acceleration, idle, and normal driving.

hah thanks man ;) I couldn't tell you how much slower stock r/ts are, but they are not SLOW for to say but hah def. not as quick as i have my r/t right now. She's needs a tune so bad i could easilly punch out 15 more horses once i tune in the gears and safc2 ... CAN'T WAIT til i hit the dyno.

Also i'm running stock tires and wheel hopp kicks my ass along with a stock bobble :( .

maddogg sts and vitor's adjustable bobble will be next. I'm hoping for a dyno and tune in February.

are u going to the n2k7 meet? We are having around 20 ppl meet up in northern indiana to cruise to the meet together if your interested? It's ppl coming up through indiana and through indiana. I set it up so we all could meet up and cruise to the meet in IL together since we all will be going to the same place and going through the same area at the same time.

A stock 1st gen. R/T runs the 1/4 in 15.9 seconds.

I'm guessing your run was hindered by the camera since the 10-100mph run was 15 seconds long and the first 10mph's couldn't last but maybe a half second to a second.
